It would definitely be neat to have many of the Prelinger films on DVD to enjoy whole & complete?

Is that what you're planning to do (just compile them) or are you going to "have some fun" with them first before putting them to DVD - you know - collages of insane clips, etc.

I've been having a TON of video editing fun the last few weeks playing with the animation and footage from the two "How the Eye/Ear Functions" films.

Have fun with your project!

I'm just collecting the films and putting them on DVDs. I love iDVD because you can make great custom menus, so the DVDs look professional. I'm having lots of fun with that, and I'm also adding my reviews to the DVDs as "extras."

Wow!

Are you like, selling these or giving them to special people you know? (*cough*)

They're just for me, actually, to become part of my collection. However, if you're interested, I could make one for you that has my reviews on it. One DVD holds about 2 hours of stuff. You could pick out films I've already reviewed (check the archives of this board or the archives of my blog: www.livingbettercinematically.blogspot.com) and let me know which ones you would like. I could do it for the cost of the DVD-R and postage. E-mail me for more details.
